nose flute

galery | back | forward

South-american wind-instrument. The way of blowing is rather unusual: we press the air out of our nostrils into the hole on the concave side of the flute. We fasten our underlip to the lower part of the instrument and keep the mouth open. The tone can be changed by forming the cavity of mouth. It does not need musical education, with some practise almost any tune can be played by ear. It is a 100% hungarian handicraft product, directly from the craftsman.
